2022 Suzuki Baleno Makes Its Indian Debut, And It's A Dramatically Improved Model

Following last month's teaser, Maruti Suzuki has confirmed the launch of the new Suzuki Baleno in India, which has a variety of aesthetic and technology improvements. The new generation of the Baleno is built on the same platform as the Baleno that was first unveiled in 2015 and upgraded in 2019.
The new nose of the Suzuki Baleno, which ditched the rounded characteristics of its predecessor, gave the car a more premium appearance. The grille has been widened, the bumper intakes have been linked, and the LED headlights have been given a new form that makes them appear more ferocious.
The profile is easily recognized due to the similar greenhouse and overall shape, but the body panels are different, focusing more on the shoulders and wheel arches. The new LED taillights are more aggressive and protrude into the tailgate, and the bumper has also been altered.
Inside the cabin, the improvements are just as substantial, with a completely revamped dash. The new 9-inch touchscreen with Suzuki SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment, a 360-degree camera, a detachable color head-up display with essential information, and an Arcamys Surround Sense audio system are among the technological centerpieces.
Six airbags, ESP, Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, ESP, seatbelt reminders, and a High-Speed Alert system are among the safety features.
A 1.2-liter K-Series Dual Jet gasoline motor with a start-stop system and no electronic assistance produces 89 hp (66 kW/90 PS) and 113 Nm (83.3 lb-ft) of torque under the hood. A five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed AGS automatic, which replaces the old CVT, sends power to the front wheels. The new model will be sold to additional areas such as Africa, South America, and the Middle East, in addition to India, where sales of the present generation Suzuki Baleno had surpassed one million units.
