In Australia, the new G15 Pure SP model has been added to the Mazda2 range. The latest model has a Mazda2 G15 Pure as a foundation and has black 16-inch wheels and black side mirrors, including a black front grille and chrome tailpipes.
The inside of the car is also done in black leather-upholstered seats and red leather trim. In other variants, a new color called Platinum Quartz Metallic is offered for both the sedan and hatch 2022 Mazda2. The Polymetal Grey hatchback was the only available in this color, however, it is now obtainable for the sedan.
A significant improvement that was implemented to all of these vehicles was the standardization of a reminder about using rear seat belts. Mazda's 1.5-liter Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engine, found in all Mazda2 vehicles sold in Australia, puts out 110-hp (82 kW) and 106 lb-ft (144 Nm) of torque. In this configuration, the engine can be combined with either a six-speed automatic gearbox or a six-speed manual gearbox.
All 2022 Mazda2 models come equipped with such features as LED headlights, cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless push-button start, blind-spot monitoring, dynamic stability control, G-Vectoring Control Plus, rear parking sensors, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, a reverse camera, and Smart City Brake Support-Forward and Reverse with pedestrian detection.
