2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Receives Additional Screens And A Wider Range Of Color Options
by AutoExpert | 22 December, 2021
Jeep offers updates for the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, which marks the model's second year on the market. The most significant alteration is the addition of a 10.25-inch screen for the front passenger, which is a trait carried over from the Grand Wagoneer series.
The display is a $1,095 choice on the Limited, Overland, and Summit trim levels, and it comes as basic on the Summit Reserve. It can handle what Jeep refers to as Co-Pilot features such as navigation and device control, as well as views from the outside cameras and commands for the back seat displays. When a mobile device is connected to an HDMI port, it may mirror the screen of the smartphone and play device content.
For Limited, Overland, and Summit versions, Amazon Fire TV for Auto is available on dual 10.1-inch screens in the front seat backrests. Using the SUV's remote hotspot, the Alexa voice remote may access Amazon Prime Video material, or it can access video on the bundled 16-gigabyte hard drive, which leaves 9 gigabytes for rear-screen use. Rear passengers may also play games, listen to music, and mirror their devices. A button on the actual remote will connect the Fire TV system to car functions like HVAC and navigation.
The other model-year modifications are purely cosmetic. Ember and Midnight Sky, which are both available on the Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve trims, and Hydro Blue, which is available on the Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve trims, have been added to the exterior color palette. There are also two new dark-themed look options available.
The Limited Black upgrade for the Limited trim raises content from the lower trim Altitude, adding LED fog lights and 20-inch gloss black wheels on the exterior and Capri leather seats with additional power controls on the inside. The package includes a four-wheel-drive vehicle with the Selec-Terrain system, which has five terrain modes: Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow, and Mud/Sand.
The Summit variant will have a distinctive seven-slot grille, gloss dark exterior elements and emblems, roof rails, and 21-inch gloss black wheels as part of the High Altitude kit. Dealerships are currently taking orders for the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Some of the additional amenities, though, will be available later, and Jeep has yet to reveal updated pricing.
