2022 Ford Ranger Splash Reminds Us Of The 1990s
by AutoExpert | 2 September, 2021
Ford has gone back to the drawing board for a new Ranger look package, proving that you don't need to spend a lot of money on a Raptor to attract a lot of attention in your truck.
2022 Ranger Splash cosmetic kit, which consists of two versions, is based on the similarly eye-catching 1990s vehicle with the same designation.
The standard Splash package features orange and black body side artwork and distinctive matte black 18-inch, 12-spoke wheels and is available all year for $1495. The grille nostrils have an orange accent, while the bumpers, mirror caps, wheel lip moldings, and fender vents have striking gloss black.
All that shiny black hints that this is a truck for relaxing rather than racing over desert roads, but you can mix the Splash option with the FX2 or FX4 packages if you require greater off-road capability.
Internally, the luxury Lariat variant has redesigned seats with orange embroidery and carbon grain lines, as well as leather seats.
The steering wheel, gear change gaiter, and parking brake cover all get extra orange stitching. Ford will provide several one-time color Splash Limited Editions with the standard Splash throughout the year for Ranger customers who desire something more special.
