2022 Ford Expedition To Get Off-Road Timberline Model, More Strength, And New Tech
by AutoExpert | 21 September, 2021
To compete with the new Jeep Wagoneer, 2022 Ford Expedition gets a mid-term facelift that brings additional power, technology, and an aggressive off-road grade. The new Timberline variant for off-road enthusiasts and the Stealth Performance Pack for style-conscious city cruisers are the greatest news.
With 18-inch wheels and 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler AT tires, the Timberline has 10.6 inches of ground clearance and stands out with its orange interior and exterior aesthetic details.
With the Bronco Trail Turn Assist feature, you can actually hit the trails instead of just pretending to. This locks the inside back wheel, reducing the turning circle. On the highway, the 3.5 Ecoboost V6 generating 440-hp and 510 lb-ft should easily get out of a tight place. Most 2022 Ford Expedition have 380-hp and 470 lb-ft.
Stealth Performance provides edgier suspension, gloss black body details, glossy black Ford oval badges, red brake calipers, and black 22-inch wheels to Expedition Limited and Limited Max.
The Expedition's entry-level versions have also been upgraded. This includes a 12.4-inch digital instrument pack and a gigantic 15.5-inch portrait touchscreen, all of which are standard on the new Mustang Mach-E. Lanes-keeping assistance, Intersection Assist, and Reverse Brake Assist are all standard features.
Early next year, Ford's Kentucky facility will begin producing the 2022 Ford Expedition.
