2022 Chevy Equinox Has Settled Its Engine Parameters

When a concept is developed there's no certainty that the final product will have the same parameters. There are plenty of reasons for cancelations, delays, or changing the parameters. The latest naming for not disappointing its customer is that an automaker uses is "refreshing" a model. Chevrolet is the latest one who decided to refresh its future 2022 Chevy Equinox.
Scheduled initially as a 2021 model, the Chevrolet Equinox debuted at the Chicago Auto Show but was rescheduled for 2022 due to the factory shutdowns obviously. Now, that the factories are back, the 2022 Equinox is expected in showrooms later this summer or in early fall.
The model was initially scheduled to receive an optional turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder which was developed to deliver 252 horsepower and 352 of torque. According to an insider's tip, this particular engine will no longer be available.
There's also an official confirmation that this decision was made after a careful study, the automaker decided to remain with the old 1.5-liter turbo engine for the 2022 Equinox. Of course, the customer can get an LT or a Premium model to try the best of the 2.0-liter engine.
But the studies showed that the 1.5-liter was the customer's choice in almost 90% of the sales and has good results by delivering 170 horsepower and 275 Nm of torque and making any vehicle the perfect family crossover.
