2021 Polaris Slingshot Improved AutoDrive Transmission
by AutoExpert | 9 December, 2020
The 2021 Polaris Slingshot was upgraded after several complaints about the 2020 Slingshot about shifting at low and high speeds, the car rolling backward when taking your foot off the brakes, and a gearbox recalibration.
Now, the upgraded transmission will deliver a “smoother, faster and more consistent shift”. Let’s hope it will reach every customer’s expectations.
Also, they managed to improve the five-speed automatic manual with new steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters which will be optional on other models that have the AutoDrive transmission.
They also upgraded the car with a Hill Hold function which now makes it safer to take your foot off the brake, when there was the risk of rolling backward.
