2021 Acura TLX Type S Provides 355 HP

The best coming back for the Acura Type S is the 2021 model based on a TLX turbocharged by a 3.0-liter V-6 engine and the price is a light one. The 2021 Acura TLX Type Swill soon be available on the market for the starting price of $50,000 in late May, this year.

Promoted as the twin versions of the Audi S4 or the latest BMW M340i, the success is guaranteed by the standard TLX which is similar to the regular A4 which was launched this fall. The model is turbocharged by a V6 engine coupled to the 10-automatic transmission delivering 355 horsepower. Acura's super-handling all-wheel-drive system delivering.

Unfortunately, the Acura is available only with the AWD system and no manual transmission is available. But the Type S is uniquely equipped with the  Acura's dampers, available on the standard 272-hp TLX. It's also bonused with the additional Sport+drive mode.

The four-piston brakes are manufactured by the Italian Brembo and are fitted up front with 20-inch multi-spoke wheels wrapped in Pirelli all-season rubber. Also, there are available a lightweight set of 20-inch Y-spoke wheels and Pirelli P Zero summer tires are available.

The TLX Type-S model is available in six different colors: one exclusive Tiger Eye, Performance Red, Majestic Black, Platinum White, Apex Blue, Modern Steel. Meantime, you can choose from the 3 different colors for the interior - black, red, or a Type S-exclusive Orchid. Of course, the seats are trimmed in suede With "Type-S" embroidery on the headrests. 

Also, the 10.2-inch infotainment screen has Apple CarPlay and Android capability. The sound system is dispersed through 17 speakers and the flat-bottom steering wheel. 

The price is more than a suitable one and differs depending on which model and features you'll want. The standard 2021 Acura TLX Type-S starts at $38,525 and if you choose the AWD system and the Advance package along with the luxury features and adaptive dampers. Meanwhile, the price for the Type s could variate between $50,000 and $60,000 for the full packaged Type S.
