by AllAutoExperts | 14 October, 2015
The American continent can boast a rich history in the automotive industry, the one which gave rise to the Sportcars such as the iconic Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, Shelby Cobra, Dodge Viper, and many other. And if the first three mentioned, continue to be among the most popular at present, then for Dodge Viper, the future does not seem as bright.
According to the site Allpar, the newest partnership agreement, concluded between the two sides Fiat Chrysler and UAW, includes a provision, which is stipulated the removal from the mass production of the Dodge Viper model, by the end of 2017. The decision may occur as a result of a very low demand for "viper" overseas, that in spite of its performance, recorded very low sales.
In the same report, is noted that the Dodge Viper will get a successor, and this translates as the end of the career for the American Sportcar.
Recall that the current generation is equipped with a huge ten-cylinder engine in V and a volume of 8.4 liters. It produces a total of 645 horsepower and 812 Nm of torque!
