Why Nissan Skyline Isn’t As Cool As You Think!
by AllAutoExperts | 10 December, 2015
The world just cannot settle with what it has. A GTST, a GTS or GT will always be compared to a GTR, and the GTR will always win.
The same goes for Skyline, which comes in several versions, from 94 hp to 1000 hp. All versions will get compared in the end.
- There is always something better
- It is automatic
Most of the Skyline cars are automatic or Tiptronic. For some, having full control over the car is essential. An automatic Skyline can be converted to a manual one, but it takes a lot of time and money.
- The manual version sucks
The manual Skyline has a 25 DET gearbox, which makes changing speeds more than challenging.
- Difficult to find car parts
This probably might be available for lots of cars, but with Skyline's variety, it all becomes even more difficult. There are new models and old models, there are facelifts and pre-facelifts. There are different gearboxes with different kinds of brakes. And there's the GTR that doesn't match anything else.
- Everybody thinks they're experts
From a little boy in the neighborhood to the mechanic, everybody tells you how to drive and improve your car. And if you listen to them, chances are that your naturally aspired engine won't ever work anymore.
- Too much attention
Skylines are usually associated with little burglars and criminals. If you are driving a Skyline, police will probably want to check you out.
7. This is not a Skyline
Nissan V35 is sold in certain countries as Infiniti G35, being in fact a Skyline. The car can get confused with a Nissan Teana or Maxima.
