White Motorcycle Concepts Rolls Out A Crazy Electric Motorbike
by AutoExpert | 28 June, 2021
Seems we’re heading a new land speed record with an electric motorcycle. At least this is what White Motorcycle Concepts company seems to be wishing for and working towards. The bike coming from the company – WMC250EV - is definitely something else.
Aerodynamics is the keyword here. This is what comes to mind when we see that big hole running through the entire bike length. Oh, and WMC250EV has no fuel tank or combustion engine – just this big black hole under the handlebars and seat.
The hole has a name – V-Air and is said to reduce drag by up to 70% compared to a regular motorbike. The V-Air continues with a D-Drive powertrain, comprising two electric 20 kW front motors and two electric 30 kW AC motors in the rear. This quadruplet of motors provides a combined power of 100 kW, which is basically 134 hp. All this is reached courtesy of the 15-kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
Still speaking about aerodynamics, the big part of WMC250EV’s component is made out of carbon fiber or aluminum, which helps reduce the weight to 300 kg. Yes, this isn’t that little for a motorbike, but again… aerodynamics helps this motorcycle reach amazing speeds.
At least this is what Robert White from White Motorcycle Concepts wants to accomplish throughout the following 12 months. So, wish him luck!
