Volvo officially announced that the future XC90 will benefit from three safety systems that will be presenting in the world premiere equipped with the version series, regardless of the segment. Those three systems are based on radar and cameras that the car is equipped, and their role is to avoid collisions and accidents that occur frequently on roads because of driver careless or of the pedestrian. The first detector system is an evolution of pedestrians (Pedestrian Detection) a package that Volvo already has included in the City Safety. This time, the system is able to "see" pedestrians even in the night, in a completely darkness and had the ability to brake if necessary automatically if it detects a possible impact with them. The next step in the evolution of the system is the animal detection and autonomous braking if necessary, this facility will be launched after the appearance on the market of XC90.
