Volkswagen's Project Trinity Electric Flagship Teaser
by AutoExpert | 26 March, 2021
It's not enough to just create an electric car these days. The EVs industry has plenty of space for more, faster, and beyond the usual. Volkswagen's Project Trinity wants to redefine the concept of "innovation" for an electric vehicle. The German automaker released a teaser for Project Trinity and the small details are intriguing.
The teaser introduces us to an innovative outline design for the car and this is a unique model for Volkswagen and one of the most original on the market right now. We see the car has four doors, a sleek roofline, an LED light bar at the rear end, and shorter front and rear overhangs. The preview model if we get it to production, would be an unusual one.
The production is scheduled for 2026 and as Volkswagen promised it would support a bespoke architecture, feature electric powertrains, and a battery technology far more advanced than the one used now by the manufacturer. Also, there's a chance to be put on a Level 4 autonomous driving.
According to Ralf Brandstatter, brand chief executive of Volkswagen states that Trinity exploits Volkswagen's Acceleration strategy under a crystallization point and got backed into a strategy project and became the automaker's software dream car. Volkswagen also wants to make autonomous driving available for more open-minded people. The software will mainly rely on creating "conditions for the continuous exchange of data from our vehicle fleet - for example, on the traffic situation, on obstacles, or on accidents."
