Volkswagen Lavida XR Is The Newest Sedan In China

The entry-level Lavida XR car is the newest member of SAIC-Volkswagen's Chinese lineup. The Lavida XR stands out from the crowd with its market-specific colour scheme and chrome-infused lower bumper intake.  A sunroof and 16-inch alloy wheels are now available, in addition to the usual full-LED front and rear illumination.

Volkswagen Lavida XR is the Chinese variant of the VW Virtus, which is already sold in India and Brazil.

Featuring an impressive 8-inch digital instrument cluster and a matching 8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, this car is sure to impress. The Lavida XR is not only eye-catching on the outside with its vibrant colour options, but it also offers China-specific upholstery choices that are equally impressive. You can choose from turquoise, blue, and grey inserts to make your ride even more unique and personalised.

Under the hood of this sleek four-door sedan lies a powerful 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine capable of producing an impressive 108 horsepower and 104 lb-ft of torque. The six-speed automatic transmission is responsible for transmitting power to the front wheels. The Lavida XR and VW Virtus share the same MQB A0-IN architecture. This platform is also used by the Skoda Slavia, making it a versatile and reliable choice for car manufacturers.  Volkswagen Lavida XR is currently in production. Pricing is anticipated to start below the $100,000 ($14,045) mark.
