The most popular hatch coupe of the German car manufacturer headquartered in Wolfsburg broke the one million unit production barrier, which is a praiseworthy result indeed.
Thus, the Germans have announced the launch of a special edition called Scirocco Million, available only in Germany and China. Unlike the standard model, the special edition is provided with R-Line bumpers and side skirts, smoked taillights, dark tinted rear windows, and "Million" stickers here and there.
The interior is covered in black leather upholstery with orange contrasting stitching plus "Million" decals on the door sills.
The first Scirocco generation was launched in 1974. Seven years later, in 1981, Volkswagen launched the second generation, which remained in production until 1992. Volkswagen sold 795,650 units by then. In 2008, the Germans have re-launched the model. A number of no less than 204, 350 units from the current were sold.
