Martin Winterkorn's original plan, the VAG group head, was that Volkswagen Group to achieve cumulative sales of over 10 million units by 2018. As 2013 brought them a sold of 9.7 million units, 400,000 units more than in 2012, VAG representatives are confident in their chances to realize the plan before the deadline.
The good results in the recent years have made people from Volkswagen to relocate forecast for 2015 in response to sales that rose more than expected in 2012 and 2011. Except Skoda, all brands of the Volkswagen Group achieved sales increase in 2013, including Bentley and Lamborghini.
Those from VAG are confident because all the brands in the group are showing good signs for 2014, Skoda with a 10% increase in the first two months of this year.
