Towing A 7,300-Pound Trailer Is No Sweat For The Brand-New Land Rover Defender 130

The Defender 130 is a versatile vehicle that can take you off-roading as well as carry a large family and their belongings. When it comes to towing, the new Defender really performs rather well.
A recent upload to the TFLnow channel on YouTube shows a white Defender 130 towing a massive Aluma trailer. The weight of the trailer and its cargo, a four-door Ford Bronco First Edition, comes to about 7,300 pounds. In this case, we have a Defender 130 from the P400 series.
It has a 3.0L inline-6 mild hybrid engine, which produces 395 HP and 406 lb-ft of torque between 2,000 and 5,000 rpm. An all-wheel-drive system and an automatic transmission with eight speeds, both manufactured by ZF, provide power to all four wheels.
With its standard air suspension, the SUV maintains excellent road stability and ride quality, even at high speeds on the highway. A speed test also shows that the SUV needs roughly 16 seconds to reach 60 mph with a huge trailer hitched to the rear.
