This Incredible, Supercharged Honda Civic Type R Was Completed By Speed Academy

Speed Academy took the FD-gen Civic Si Sedan and gave it a Type R makeover, complete with a supercharger, all in pursuit of taking on an E90 BMW M3.
Their goal? To push this Civic Si to over 400 horsepower at the front wheels, a power figure they believe could give it a fighting chance against the iconic BMW.
The real magic happens under the hood. The Civic gets a heart transplant with a K24/K20 engine swap, featuring the robust bottom end of the K24 and a supercharger for an extra power punch. While the exact power output isn't revealed, their initial target was around 400 hp.
To handle this newfound power, the team installed a beefier clutch, an upgraded engine cooling system, a fully adjustable suspension, stronger aftermarket front lower control arms, improved bushings, 330 mm slotted rotors, and six-piston caliper K-Tuned brakes for enhanced performance and control.
The transformation includes visual upgrades too, with the car receiving an authentic FD2 Civic Type R body kit, finished in Championship White paint, and a set of refurbished wheels sourced from a genuine Type R. Inside, you'll find Type R touches like the instrument cluster, a K-tuned shift knob, a Mugen steering wheel, and a Buddy Club P1 seat.
This Civic Type R is a true testament to the passion and dedication of the Speed Academy team. They've taken an already impressive car and turned it into a high-performance contender that's ready to take on some serious competition.
