by AutoExpert | 19 April, 2022
Look at this 2012 Smart Fortwo that has been elevated. If this Fortwo reminds you of anything, it's because it was built by Gotham Garage and featured on the Netflix show Car Masters: Rust to Riches.
This Baja-themed Smart rides on 30-inch tires, with an 8-inch suspension raise to bring them in line. When heading off the usual road, adjustable coilovers with modified trailing arms and other improved parts really give it a little oomph.
It has skid plates, a roof rack, and various banks of LED lights, and the white shell stands out against the green body. Also, there is a 4,000-lb winch on the front. When we get inside, we find a factory interior with the exception of an aftermarket 8-inch touchscreen audio system.
The three-cylinder motor is likewise totally original, with the usual five-speed automatic gearbox delivering all 70 horsepower to the back wheels. Meanwhile, the highest speed is supposed to be approximately 65 mph. That it's odd is what makes it unique.
