With the launch of the new Renault Trafic, Opel partners present us, also, their vision of the new van: the Germans come back with light commercial models with a new generation of the Vivaro model. Reaching approximately 50,000 orders last year, Vivaro needed a fresh view in order to keep the European market share of 10 percent.
The utility model is aligned to Opel design philosophy, adopting a generally visible aspect related to the models like Insignia and Astra recently revised. That is, mainly, the most important difference between the German model and its brother's platform, Renault Trafic. The front headlights come with smoky background, the new grille adopts a blade chrome, there are also, LED running lights, and the sculptural shape drawn between the mirrors and rear lobes are borrowed from the models mentioned above.
The new Opel Vivaro will be offered with four different configurations: panel van, combi, crew, and bus. The model provides a body with a length of 5 meters and another that adds another 40 cm to it. The size increase ensures more interior space and new possibilities for storage and transport. Under the hood of the new Vivaro, Opel will offer two diesel engines. Both have a capacity of 1.6 liters. The photos of the car`s interior and details about sales will be published in the coming months.
