The automotive legend passed away on February 19, 2021, leaving behind a true legacy – the Meyers Manx, the legendary Baja 1000 off-road race, and a true American surfing culture with its dune buggy brand. Meyer Manx inspired the trend of converting the Beetle into real off-road racers.
Bruce Meyers was the man behind the original VW Beach Buggy Creation and not, at last, a pioneer of early American surfing culture.
Being always an optimistic and positive person, in the last year's statement, he entrusted Trousdale Ventures to continue his creation and make out of it a “brighter, happier, and sunnier rebirth” for the future of Meyers Manx and enjoyed his last year with his family.
