The $2.7M Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Coupe Is A Show Stopper On The Racetrack
by AutoExpert | 10 January, 2023
The Hennessey Venom F5 has a top speed of almost 300 mph on a flat track, and now it wants to show that it can handle turns just as well. We'd like to introduce you to the Venom F5 Revolution, a new member of the F5 family that's both more flexible and more secure.
According to Hennessey, the Revolution was built to excel on both the road and the track. A new full-width, adjustable carbon fiber rear wing is the most noticeable change, providing over 800 pounds of downforce at 249 miles per hour.
This isn't the only adjustment made to improve aerodynamics, either. The Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution, which weighs less than 3,000 pounds, has had both its front splitter and rear diffuser enlarged. Hennessey argues that the splitter contributes to the formation of a low-pressure vortex under the floor by obstructing airflow behind the bumper, which further increases the tire's vertical squish.
The 6.6-liter "Fury" V8 engine's output of 1,817 horsepower remains unchanged. John "Heinrocket" Heinricy, a former GM engineer who supervised the creation of highly praised vehicles like the Corvette Z06, fine-tuned the F5 Revolution, but even he confesses he's never worked with something that fast.
With a starting price of $2.7 million, the Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution is priced between the regular $2.1 million F5 Venom coupe and the $3 million Roadster, and Hennessey aims to only produce 24 of them.
