The 2025 Lotus Emira Turbo SE Is Here To Thrill
by AutoExpert | 8 October, 2024
The 2025 Lotus Emira lineup just got more exciting with the introduction of a new model—the Turbo SE. Joining the standard Emira Turbo and the Emira V6, this latest version ramps up performance while bringing its own distinctive features to the table. Similar to the base model, an AMG-sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine powers the Turbo SE.
However, instead of the 360 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque found in the standard Emira Turbo, the SE cranks out 400 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. That power boost allows it to match the 400 hp of the V6 model while easily surpassing the V6’s torque, which sits at 310 lb-ft.
The Turbo SE is available exclusively with an eight-speed dual clutch transmission, while the Emira V6 sticks to either a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox. Thanks to the extra power, the SE rockets from 0-62 mph in just 4.0 seconds—0.3 seconds faster than the regular Turbo. It also boasts a higher top speed of 180 mph, up 11 mph from its sibling.
As standard, the Turbo SE comes with the Lotus Drivers Pack, adding sportier suspension settings, improved cross-drilled and ventilated brake discs, and launch control. It rides on unique 20-inch V-spoke forged Satin Grey wheels, with Zinc Grey paint, red brake calipers, and special Emira Turbo SE badging. Other touches include an Alcantara headliner, black Lotus branding, and black tailpipes.
The SE package pays homage to Lotus's historical Special Equipment packages, a legacy that encompasses several iconic models such as the Elan SE Turbo and Lotus Cortina. Sales for all 2025 Emira models have begun in regions across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. However, there’s no confirmation yet if the Turbo SE will make its way to the U.S. market.
