The 2024 Subaru WRX Club Spec Edition Is Exclusive To Australia
by AutoExpert | 6 March, 2024
It's official! The new 2024 Subaru WRX Club Spec Edition will be available in a restricted quantity of just 150 units designated for Australian buyers. This variant stands out thanks to its retro-styled, large rear wing. Subaru provided a single snapshot of the vehicle.
According to the official photo, the special edition is almost confirmed. Both the Club Spec and the TR share 19-inch wheels with Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires that are 245/35 R19 in size. Red brake calipers and Recaro seats complete the look.
Only the Club Spec model in Australia comes with a fixed rear wing. The other WRX models do not have this option. Identical to the North American TR, the Australian Club Spec is equipped with Brembo brakes. The front brakes measure 13.4 inches, while the rear brakes measure 12.8 inches.
The upgraded WRX retains the same 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque as the regular WRX, thanks to the same turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. For the 2024 Subaru WRX Club Spec Edition, Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system is the only available transmission option; a six-speed manual gearbox is standard.
In honor of the WRX nameplate's 30th anniversary in Australia, a special edition vehicle has been announced, according to Drive.com.au. Nonetheless, Subaru Australia's managing director Blair Read has stated that this is one of the celebrations, suggesting that other WRX-related announcements may be forthcoming before the year 2024 comes to a close.
Pricing details will be announced closer to the release date. The 2024 Subaru WRX Club Spec will be available for purchase in Australia in April.
