When a concept gets to the production process, these days it's a real cause for celebration. And getting a glimpse at the work put to bring your favorite car at you is a tremendous process indeed. The pictures and video of the production model got on social media and let us tell you that the sports car is looking amazing. Despite both being taken during transport, this collection of pictures showed a great perspective of what the postproduction 400Z will look like.
Your first thought would be the resemblance with the Z prototype concept and you might be right because the sports car indeed features a retro-inspired front fascia with a rather rectangular intake. The front fascia also features stylish headlights, with amber turn signals instead of the usual orange ones. The sides show a carryover from the Z Prototype has slightly revised door handles, red reflectors above rear wheels.
Other visible features of the Nissan 400Z are the gloss black rear bumper and the dual exhaust system as promised when the automaker revealed details about this model. There are also some new additions seen through the retro-inspired taillights and the rear.
There's a video where you can see the interior with its digital instrument cluster and the modern infotainment system. The interior's highlights include three gauge pods, the known steering wheel, and a different center console with the shifter and the automatic transmission.
The sports car is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine similar to the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400. The engine coupled to the presumably seven-speed automatic transmission delivers 400 horsepower and 474 Newton-meters of torque. Nissan could option and a coupe with a manual transmission.
This fabulous 2022 Nissan 400Z coupe is expected to debut later this year despite being labeled as a 2022 model.
