Seems Electric cars are not so “Electric” with buyers.

Hybrids & full electric cars seem to have "capped out" in the market. Combined they total only about 3% of car sales, and that number has not changed since 2012.
While 48% of American polled by Harris polls, said they would consider a hybrid, less than 30% indicated they would consider an all-electric.
Considering the purchase of one and actually buying it is another thing. Price is the big barrier at the moment, with these cars being much more expensive than gas or diesel models even when tax incentives are taken into consideration.
Remains to be seen if the introduction of models like the Chevrolet Volt will impact buyers and change the market.
