Revamped and Reimagined: A Sneak Peek at Tesla's Updated Model 3
by AutoExpert | 3 August, 2023
Tesla’s updated Model 3 has made some noise on social media pages, with a handful of spies giving away details about the brand-new creation. These leaks provide our best chance to take a look at the latest Tesla addition and gain insight into the changes made to it.
High-definition car photos, captured by Y2KColin on Twitter, reveal a prototype from Palo Alto, California, adorned with black cladding over the front and rear fascias. This cladding effectively conceals much of the car's updated design, but luckily, it offers a clear view of the car’s side.
While few changes are visible, some undoubtedly catch the eye, such as the door skins and door handles that appear identical to the outgoing model. The most noticeable refitting is a small crease extending from the side mirror housings on the front quarter panels along the front door—a design feature present in Model Y, but fresh in Model 3.
We can only speculate if changes will extend to the headlights, taillights, and bumpers of the updated Model 3. If they do, they will undoubtedly grant the new model a refreshed look and a more elegant aspect.
Reports suggest that Tesla has equipped the updated Model 3 with a new camera found low on the front fascia. It's said that the car will use the brand's latest Tesla Vision setup, fully ditching ultrasonic sensors in favor of cameras.
The cockpit is believed to have undergone a series of modifications, and if the reports prove true, these changes will offer more than just a traditional facelift. The updates may include an S and X Model steering wheel, an increased focus on recycled materials, and an ambient lighting system.
We don't know when exactly Tesla plans to unveil the new Model 3, but we would be unpleasantly surprised if it isn't divulged by the end of the year.
