The R3 upgrade package from RENNtech is now available to make Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series even more potent and intense. RENNtech is familiar with the Black Series, as it has already provided modifications for the CLK, SL 65, and SLS.
In terms of aesthetics, the Black Series was already a sight to see. In keeping with the matte black paint, the tuner installed Machine Black wheels with orange highlights.
In addition to the color-matched rollbar, Sabelt or Schroth four-point seatbelts and a fire extinguisher are also included. Under the hood, the most significant alterations were made. The tuner also installed a new set of turbochargers, stainless steel downpipes, blow-off valves, and BMC air filters in addition to changing the ECU software.
As a consequence, the AMG's twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 now generates a remarkable 1,051 horsepower and 831 lb-ft of torque, compared to the standard 720 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. Through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, power is delivered to the rear axle. This has gained updated software for speedier shifting and a performance clutch modification to accommodate the enormous torque.
RENNtech says that its Black Series is the most powerful in the world. The AMG GT Black Series goes from 0-60 mph in 3.0 seconds when equipped with the R3 upgrade, compared to 3.2 seconds for the base model. In addition, the top speed has been raised from 202 mph to 219 mph. The upgraded Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is already on the market in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
