Project 3, Rimac's Autonomous Taxi, To Debut In 2026

Project 3, Rimac's first autonomous taxi prototype, will be on display in the first half of this year, with ambitions to go live in 2026. The Croatian company that specializes in performance cars has made an official statement regarding the launch of this model under a new brand.
Rumor has it that Rimac's upcoming autonomous cab will be better off thanks to Kia's help during development. Brand founder Mate Rimac told British magazine Autocar that he wanted to "change more people's lives" with an inexpensive, eco-friendly urban transportation option.
This Rimac-developed autonomous taxi will go into service in 2026 with the ability to operate without a human driver. In addition to creating the cars themselves, the company will build charging stations and parking lots just for them.
Crucially, although all three names are currently associated with the Rimac Group—Rimac, Bugatti, and Project 3—the new brand will function autonomously.
