Power Meets Practicality: Skoda Kodiaq vRS Revealed
by AutoExpert | 31 October, 2024
Skoda has just revealed the sporty vRS version of the new Kodiaq, bringing some excitement to this family SUV with performance similar to the Volkswagen Golf GTI. Under the hood, the vRS features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 262 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
It pairs with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, allowing the Kodiaq to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 6.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 144 mph.
To help it stop, the Skoda Kodiaq vRS comes with slotted brake discs and upgraded front calipers. The Kodiaq vRS also includes VW's Dynamic Chassis Control Plus adaptive suspension system, which has 15 drive settings and adjusts the dampers for a smoother ride.
In terms of looks, the Skoda Kodiaq vRS stands out with aggressive bumpers, larger grille segments, and 20-inch ‘Elias’ alloy wheels, all finished with black badging. Inside, there’s a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen and sportier seats for better support.
The standard interior features a blend of microsuede and artificial leather, while an optional package adds ventilated seats for extra comfort. Skoda hasn't announced pricing yet, but we expect deliveries to begin in April.
