Rumors that Skoda will launch an SUV have circulated for a long time on the internet and it seems there aren't only rumors!
The Czech's project has a code named A Plus and apparently will use the future platform of his brother VW Tiguan!
Skoda Snowman, as was previously called the concept which was previews the Skoda SUV but apparently the manufacturer gave up on that name. I learned that the car will be able to accommodate 7 people on board and was recently presented to a small circle of journalists.
Although if it will use the platform of the future VW Tiguan which is supposed to be derived from the known MQB, the Czech's SUV will adopt the same policy as in the case of the Superb model - more space! This means that the manufacturer sees as a higher competing model such as the Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe!
The available engines will be those already known after the Skoda models, the four-cylinder diesel and gasoline, turbo-aspirated version. There is talk that will be available the plug-in hybrid version, but not sure. The car is scheduled to appear in 2016, and the official presentation most likely, will take place at the Geneva Motor Show the same year.
