Mercedes Expands The E-Class Lineup With A New "E 73" Trademark
by AutoExpert | 11 March, 2021
The Us Patent and Trademark Office registered the ‘E 73” trademark for Mercedes, which suggests consideration of expanding its E-Class lineup. Despite the limited official information for the trademark, it’s supposed to be used for another upgraded concept more powerful than the latest Mercedes AMG E53 or E63.
Other Mercedes trademarks registered in 2019, are the G73, GLS73, S73, and the famous GT73e. According to the official reports, the plug-in hybrid Panamera-fighter will deliver more than 800hp, so we could only guess the power that an E73 could offer. So far, we know that the “73” moniker refers to 7.3-liter V12 models.
In previous statements, AMG reported that their future models will come with hybrid technology specs. There’s also the possibility that if this trademark will be used for the AMG model, we could expect a plug-in hybrid car. Even with the possibility of the same GT73e drivetrain, an E63 and GT63 4-Door Coupe, a theoretical E 73 could share or get a more powerful than 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine.
The Mercedes E-class is a luxurious one, so adding another name to its lineup projects, makes its fans wait for more than just a usual PHEV AMG. All eyes on Mercedes and lots of patience. We already know that the result won’t disappoint.
