Mercedes-Benz V-Class With An AMG Twin-Turbo V8
by AutoExpert | 5 April, 2022
The twin-turbocharged V8 in this Mercedes-Benz V-Class is the epitome of a monster. This V-Class is built by GAD Motors in Germany and has AMG's M177 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 found in Mercedes-AMG C, 63, E 63, GT 63, G 63, and many others.
The V-Class was previously driven by a 190-hp diesel motor, but owing to its upgraded V8, as well as a few changes made by GAD to the V8, it now produces 585 horsepower. Carbon-ceramic brakes have been tightened up, and the suspension system has been tweaked to match the new motor. There's also a brand-new exhaust system.
From the outside, there are just a few unmistakable clues that this isn't your average V-Class. It, for instance, rides on new wheels, sits lower than before, and wears badges indicating its AMG motor. The inside of the automobile has remained unchanged. GAD Motors took the van to Germany's Zweibrücken Airport for a rolling drag race, where it competed against a BMW M5, a C6 Chevrolet Corvette. McLaren 720S, and a Mercedes-AMG GT.
