Mazda 6 SKYACTIV-D and its first victory at Indianapolis!

Mazda 6 SKYACTIV-D is the first car powered by a diesel engine that managed to get a trophy on the famous Indianapolis circuit. The Japanese managed to win the race class GX in the Grand Am, where the pilots Tom Long and Sylvian Tremblay were driving the glorious Mazda 6 SKYACTIV-D model. Mazda uses this model with diesel engine in American Grand Am championship, and succeeding until this moment to win five times consecutively at GX class after 8 of 12 races on the Grand Am calendar in 2013.
John Doonan, Mazda North American motorsport division director said: "This is the fifth consecutive victory during this season and is by far the most important victory at Indy, which is the pilot's dream, and this dream came true for Mazda." In the general ranking, the Mazda 6 SKYACTIV-D was ranked on 26th place at the Grand Am race.
