Maserati Ghibli will be revealed in April

Maserati expressed, about six months ago, its intention to expand the range with a new model, to be positioned below the current Quattroporte. The mystery that surrounds this project, unofficially called Ghibli, will be reveled in April this year, at the Shanghai Auto Show.
Even if based on the same platform as the Quattroporte, Ghibli is expected to have a more-focused, sportier philosophy. Therefore, the sedan's classic features will be harmoniously complemented by the coupe's silhouette.
The Ghibli will be equipped with V-6 and V-8 engines, found on the Quattroporte as well as and signed by the Scuderia Ferrari's engineers. The engines will be available along with the Maserati's own Q4 four-wheel drive system.
Maserati Ghibli will be produced together with the Quattroporte, at the old Bertone factory from Torino, currently owned by the Fiat group.
