Nowadays most car makers are getting rid of the manual transmission. Porsche, BMW and others have already dropped it. Up until now the only vehicle that came with only manual transmission as the Mini. But, let's agree that's not the car you want.
Here comes the Jaguar XE to save the day. Well, not right now but next year. Jaguar announced that they will offer manual transmission on their standard XE starting with the 2017 edition. It will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine on the stick.
This move by Jag shows a great deal of confidence in the XE lineup and might make the sedan a serious contender for the BMW M3.
