Legend Motor Co., based in Salt Lake City, Utah, has made its mark in the classic Land Rover Defender restomod scene with the unveiling of their debut project, the Signature Series 001.
This remarkable vehicle, built on a Jeep Wrangler JK chassis, has undergone a comprehensive transformation to cater to modern trends.
Under the hood, the original engine has been swapped out for an LT1 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8, generating an impressive 460 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. The Land Rover Defender now has Wilwood brakes, a sizable 22.5-gallon fuel tank, and Fox 2.5 fully adjustable remote reservoir shocks that support it to improve its off-road capabilities.
Legend Motor Co. went the extra mile by meticulously crafting new Kevlar-lined aluminum body panels for the Land Rover, offering a blend of durability and aesthetic appeal. The off-roader is further elevated with robust aftermarket wheels and tires that extend beyond the wheel arches.
The interior has been luxuriously revamped, with hand-sewn full-aniline leather adorning the seats, a new dashboard, and a bespoke leather-clad steering wheel.
Additionally, practical enhancements include a swing-out tire carrier and a tailgate housing a massive subwoofer to complement the upgraded audio system. However, such exclusivity comes at a price, and acquiring a Restomod Defender from Legend Motor Co. starts at a substantial $250,000.
This price tag reflects not only the performance upgrades but also the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail poured into reimagining this classic off-roader for the modern era.
