Last Of The Ten Speedback Silverstone Edition Unveiled By David Brown
by AutoExpert | 21 January, 2022
The latest of David Brown Automotive's ten incredibly unique Speedback Silverstone Editions has been revealed. This Speedback Silverstone, one of just ten initially scheduled for production in 2018, has taken over 8000 hours to complete.
Hand-painted in a special shade of Black Metallic and embellished with hand-brushed milled aluminum features, the outside of the automobile takes over 8 weeks to finish. The car is going to an Asian owner. It has monochromatic emblems made by artisan jewelers in Birmingham's jewelry area, as well as unique 20-inches Afterburner wheels for added ferocity.
In the cabin, the heated and cooled leather seats are painted in a light Oyster color, and open-pore wood features can be seen on the dashboard and door cards. Brushed chrome is used on the bare metalwork and the jet-inspired air vents. In addition, the owner has requested a picnic seat inside.
The little bench-style chair slides out of the boot floor to provide additional sitting. A picnic set, along with a handmade wool blanket, leather whiskey bottle holder, and leather-trimmed flasks, has been requested by the owner.
The vehicle, which is based on a Jaguar XKR chassis, is powered by a 601 hp twin-scroll supercharged 5.0-liter V8, with a 0-60 mph time of 4.2 seconds and a controlled peak speed of 155 mph. The Speedback Silverstone Edition starts at £620,000 before taxes. Silverstone-based David Brown has been building automobiles since 2014, including the city-friendly Mini Remastered and the track-ready Mini Remastered Oselli Edition.
