Kia Telluride Is Prepared For The Rebelle Rally

The upcoming Rebelle Rally, commencing on October 12, will feature Kia's participation in a modified 2024 Telluride X-Pro SUV. Kia has made several enhancements to the Telluride for this event, including the addition of a roof rack and front and rear bumpers from Baja Forged.
These new bumpers not only increase the SUV's approach and departure angles but, in combination with a 1.5-inch suspension lift, also enhance its off-road capabilities, providing nearly 10 inches of ground clearance.
To further prepare the Telluride for adventure, skid plates have been added, and it's now equipped with rugged BFGoodrich T/A K02 tires mounted on eighteen-inch KMC716 wheels at all four corners. Renowned driver Verena Mei will be behind the wheel, with Susie Saxton serving as the navigator. Steven Center, Kia America's COO and executive vice president, expressed eagerness to witness the Telluride X-Pro's performance in this year's rally.
Under the hood, Kia retained the 3.8-liter V6 engine from the previous model year, delivering 291 horsepower. For the 2024 model year, Kia introduced amber daytime running lights and slightly increased the starting price for the entry-level model to $37,355. The 2024 Telluride X-Pro, priced starting at $51,650, comes with all-wheel drive, making it a robust choice for adventurous drivers.
Kia has prior experience in the Rebelle Rally with the Telluride, nearly clinching first place in 2020. In 2021, they participated with a modified 2023 Sportage alongside a Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup. The following year, Kia entered two 2022 Sorento PEHV crossovers, achieving second and third place in the competition.
