Is Skoda Working On An Electric Replacement For The Karoq?

by AutoExpert | 5 May, 2023
Skoda has announced that the Elroq electric crossover will replace the Karoq SUV. The vehicle will have an impressive range, and a vRS performance variant is probable.
The Czech carmaker is reportedly developing a beautiful crossover that may be offered in a vRS performance trim. The new crossover will be known as Elroq, and it will replace the existing Karoq. The CEO of the Mlada Boleslav-based automaker has stated his intention to increase production of Enyaq models, which the vRS index follows, due to the market's strong demand for them.
Initial concept art for the Elroq's design has been prepared, and it seems to borrow heavily from the Karoq's premium trim. The upcoming Skoda Elroq vRS is set to receive a powerful boost with the inclusion of two electric motors, one on each axle.
This will result in an impressive total output of 300 horsepower and 460 Newton meters of torque. The upcoming crossover is also set to feature a 77 kWh battery, providing a driving range of approximately 500 km. According to recent reports, Elroq is set to make its market debut next year, with a more powerful version expected to be released at a later date.
