Designed for the United States, the 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America will be available in late 2022. The vehicle is based on the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet and hence has identical mechanical parts. It is driven by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that generates 473 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque.
Standard equipment on the limited-edition Porsche is the Porsche Active Suspension Management Sport system. Cast-iron brakes measuring 16 inches in front and 14.9 inches in the back are also standard features. An optional set of brakes named Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes is available.
The 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America is distinguished from a conventional model by the Azure Blue 356 striking exterior color based on the classic 1953 356 America Roadster. Porsche has also added RS Spyder Design Wheels with Guards Red pinstriping and white spokes.
Pebble Grey leather covers the majority of the interior's surfaces. Additionally, the cabin sports Guards Red and Pebble Grey piping. Furthermore, the company has announced that consumers may choose an extra interior option that inserts a Guards Red 12 o'clock marker and cross-stitching to the steering wheel.
Kjell Gruner, president and chief executive officer of Porsche Cars North America, stated, “Passion for driving a Porsche runs deep in the United States.” There is no word on how many of the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet Americas will be made by Porsche, but they have confirmed the starting price of $184,920 (with a $1,450 destination fee).
