HW Electro, a budding Japanese producer of electric Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs), has introduced a concept vehicle called the Puzzle. This unique commercial van draws inspiration from puzzles in its design and is set to debut by 2025. We have to admit, we're intrigued!

Following its debut at the Japan Mobility Show last month, the Puzzle has arrived in New York, where HW Electro confirmed plans to introduce the vehicle to the North American market.

The tiny LCV has a small footprint, measuring just 133.7 inches in length, 58.1 inches in width, and 75.6 inches in height, with a 97.6-inch wheelbase. Its dimensions categorize it within Japan's kei car segment. Its boxy structure and flat surfaces enable some exterior panels to be interchangeable, thereby reducing expenses and waste.

The panels on the front-end sides open up to reveal AC power supplies, USB ports, internet connectivity, and an emergency first-aid kit. HW Electro aims for its LCVs to aid in emergencies, utilizing their battery packs as power sources and featuring rooftop solar panels for clean energy. The company also emphasizes that there is a crowbar below the cargo floor for life-saving purposes.

Designed for shared usage among multiple users, the two-seater cabin is outfitted with pinboard-style surfaces, allowing users to customize the configuration according to their requirements. The touchscreen incorporates the latest connectivity technology and the MyHWE application, which utilizes AI for delivery optimization, cargo management, and disaster support.

The cargo space is optimal for box storage. The electric powertrain limits the maximum loading capacity to 771.6 lbs, which is sufficient for urban delivery vehicles. Although the company hasn't released specific details about the Puzzle's fully electric powertrain, Fleet Owner reports that it will use a lithium iron phosphate battery with a 125-mile electric range on a single charge. More information about the HW Electro Puzzle is anticipated closer to its market launch in early spring 2025.
