From Dartford with Speed: The Limited-Edition Caterham Seven CSR Twenty Is Here
by AutoExpert | 12 November, 2024
To celebrate 20 years of the CSR chassis, Caterham has rolled out the Seven CSR Twenty—a limited-edition model that's all about refined power and exclusivity. Under the hood, it borrows the 210hp, 2.0-liter Ford Duratec engine from the Seven 420, making this a first-time combo that’s capable of 0-62mph in a thrilling 3.9 seconds.
The Caterham Seven CSR Twenty can reach a top speed of 136mph, despite weighing only 620kg. Caterham is releasing only 20 of these in the UK and another 20 in the US, with a price tag of £79,995, making it the priciest model to date.
This isn’t just a performance vehicle; it's the first car produced in Caterham’s new Dartford factory, and it’s designed with premium details throughout, marking it as the most luxurious Seven yet. Inside, the CSR Twenty sports a high-end, satin carbon-fiber dashboard, exclusive CSR Twenty edition dials, Alcantara accents on the gearstick and handbrake, and a plush leather Momo steering wheel.
Even the seats have a unique look, with premium leather, Alcantara inserts, red stitching, and CSR Twenty logos. On the outside, it’s a stunning blend of tradition and modern touches, from the Seven 620-style nose cone to the LED lighting, red brake calipers, and a two-tone Union flag grille. For the first time on a UK Caterham model, the Caterham Seven CSR Twenty rides on 15-inch Vulcan alloys, giving it a bold, track-ready stance.
As CEO Bob Laishley puts it, "This is undoubtedly the most premium Seven we’ve ever made. The CSR Twenty isn’t just about performance; it’s built for those longer, more memorable drives—something truly special for both our brand and our fans."
