Ford Exposes Mustang GT 'Gen3' Rally Car For Australia's Supercars Championship

Mount Panorama was the setting for the unveiling of Australia's Mustang GT 'Gen3' Rally Car for the Repco Supercars Championship. This variant of the race vehicle, fueled by a 5.4-liter version of the Coyote V8, is the closest-to-production iteration ever manufactured for the Supercars Championship.
The new list of rules for the series, built to fulfill Gen3 requirements, intends to boost relevance to roadgoing vehicles.
That indicates the Mustang and the Camaro it will fight with will have less aerodynamic supports, lowering team expenses and, perhaps, increasing on-track excitement for viewers. The automobile will be tested in 2022 and raced in the first round of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship season, however, performance numbers are still unavailable.
