F Sport Road Bike – another type of Lexus!
by AllAutoExperts | 15 July, 2013
LFA Works, the Lexus division that produced the LFA model, is now producing a performance bicycle, called F Sport Road Bike, which costs 7,700 Euros and has a carbon fiber frame.
The LFA Works division, which was created specifically to build the famous Lexus Supercar, produces carbon fiber components. Now, the LFA Works' engineers are developing bicycles, the first product being the F Sport Road Bike itself. Just like the LFA supercar built in the same factory, this bicycle belongs to a limited series, of 100 units only.
The frame, fork, saddle, handlebar, wheels, and pedals of the Lexus F Sport bicycle are made of carbon fiber. Although LFA Works possesses top equipment, those from Lexus do nothing but assembly the F Sport bicycle within the respective department. Naoki Watanabe, a sales and marketing manager from Lexus, explained to the Automotive News' representatives that all the key components of the frame, made from carbon fiber, are imported from Taiwan.
The 22-speed bike has an electronically controlled paddle shifter that ensures efficient gear shifting and smooth speed changes. The Lexus sales representative says that the brand has already received 35 orders for the exclusive bicycle built by the LFA Works Department.
