Clio Cup - a new race car from Renault!

Renault introduced the Cup version of the Clio IV RS: the model which represents the version "ready to race" of the Clio RS, ready to compete in any competition sanctioned by the FIA in the form that leaves the factory in Dieppe.
Clio Cup uses the same 1.6 Turbo engine of the Clio IV RS, but in this case its unit delivers 220 HP and 270 Nm and is mated to a sequential six-speed transmission, produced by Sadev, that changes speed steps in less than 100 milliseconds.
The braking system of street model was replaced with a Brembo system with high performance, according to RenaultSport French. The interior has been stripped of all the accessories for comfort and has been adapted for competition: on board we can see a welded roll cage, a set of competition chairs compatible with the Hans system, belts fastened in six points from Sabelt, firefighting system and racing models specific commands.
Outside, the Clio Cup version differs from standard through aggressive aerodynamics package, dual exhaust system and 17-inch Speedline Corse rims. Those from Renault offer the model to the competition tire company Michelin or Dunlop and say that the model costs 37,800 euros without charge. Trading debut is scheduled for September this year.
