Cadillac Lyriq's Live Debut Is Scheduled at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show in China

2023 Cadillac Lyriq is automaker's statement beyond its "bold and luxury" moto of original vehicles being Cadillac's first-ever all-electric vehicle. Everyone is expecting the official debut in America, but apparently, the brand decided to introduce it first for its customers at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show in China. It'll be a live debut available to everyone around the world to see.

The Liriq is the automaker's statement of avant-garde styling and an array of innovative technologies based on a new modular electric vehicle platform. Also, the crossover features and promotes the Ultium battery system to minimize the use of rare-earth materials. the Lyriq is a dedicated EV from the ground up.

Its cabin has a 33-inch-diagonal advanced LED screen ahead of the driver. There are rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive performance iterations. This way, the Lyriq puts Cadillac on the top of the new meaning of electrification and the futuristic crossover. "Most of its features, including the new design and groundbreaking technologies, will appear on future models. But as exciting as its photos look, the Lyriq is even more impressive when you see it in person."

Also, the production Liriq's version changed the interior by changing the four (a 2+2 layout) seating so that the crossover can accommodate up to five passengers, with a middle seat added to the second row. Other promoted features are the ultimate AKG sound system and new road noise cancellation technology.

Cadillac managed to bring to the production line a version with very few changes compared to the concept. Still, no one of General Motors has seen the concept in the flesh. According to Felix Weller, Vice President of Cadillac in China, at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show, Cadillac will give the public the opportunity to see the next chapter of Cadillac's future in the amazing Lyriq show car.

Disappointing the American customers from being the first to see the Liriq, wasn't an easy choice. In the United States, many shows got canceled due to the pandemic and the situation hasn't been established so far.  The Shanghai Auto Show is the first opportunity for any sort of public debut. Presenting the production model is one step, the testing began to bring on the market the best of the concept. So far, it's known that the biggest exterior change happens with the side mirrors and the concept's narrow camera units.

General Motors didn't announce yet when the production Lyriq will debut, so we can hope that at least that reveal will be held in the US. The 2023 Cadillac Liriq will be available "in flesh" starting April 19  up until 28th in  Shanghai. So, do you fancy a China trip?
