BMW's New Vision Neue Klasse Concept Is A Sneak Peek At Upcoming Models
by AutoExpert | 4 August, 2023
Production of the highly anticipated BMW Neue Klasse models will begin in 2025, and the BMW Vision Neue Klasse concept will be unveiled on September 2 at the IAA Mobility event in Munich.
This concept will serve as a close-to-production preview of the upcoming model, nearly sixty years after BMW's original Neue Klasse debuted. Oliver Zipse, Chairman of BMW AG's Board of Management, emphasized that the concept is on the verge of standard production and will shortly hit the streets.
BMW's vision for the future of mobility is based on three pillars: electrified, digital, and circular. Vision Neue Klasse will serve as a representation of these elements. Once again, Zipse emphasized the significance of the Neue Klasse for the BMW brand, the BMW Group, and their portfolio by describing it as a vast enterprise that encompasses the entire company.
Initial production of the Neue Klasse EV is anticipated to begin in 2025 at the Debrecen plant in Hungary. Additional production sites at the BMW Brilliance factory in Shenyang, China, and the central Munich facility in Germany will follow this in 2026.
BMW has confirmed six upcoming models, all of which are based on the dedicated architecture of the Neue Klasse EV. The introduction of these vehicles between 2025 and 2027 will represent a significant step forward in BMW's electric mobility voyage.
