Alpha Motor Displays The Wolf Pickup It's Been Working On
by AutoExpert | 1 August, 2023
A prototype of Alpha Motor Corporation's Wolf electric pickup truck was announced with much fanfare earlier this year. Now, a video of the truck in operation was just published, demonstrating its timeless style and widespread popularity.
This is promising news. It's fantastic to see how well Canoo and UHI Group, a Michigan-based prototype firm, have worked together. Undoubtedly, the creation of the functioning test truck owes much to UHI Group's experience with Canoo cars. They are not content with this progress; further prototypes are now in the works.
The video seems to indicate that the car battery packs have an estimated capacity of between 65 and 85 kWh. These battery packs can guarantee a minimum of 275 miles of travel. Optional dual-motor all-wheel drive improves the truck's performance even more. It features 284 hp from a single engine, making for a robust driving experience. The vehicle can reach speeds of up to 125 miles per hour. It also has DC rapid charging capability, so you can charge it quickly and easily.
Then, the video elucidates the truck's body-on-frame chassis construction. It has a leaf-spring rear suspension and an independent front suspension. It's intriguing to see that the gearbox and motor are mounted behind the solid axle and that the motor gear is protected by a shield. However, Alpha Motor has not yet provided information on the truck's manufacturing or specs.
There have been 11,000 reservations made, according to the website. The projected pricing for the Wolf pickup is between $36,000 and $46,000; however, this might change based on the options selected. Looking forward to hearing more from Alpha Motor in the near future!
