BMW X3 M40d M Sport Edition and X4 M40i M Sport Edition, two limited-edition models of the X3 and X4, have just gone on sale in Japan. To mark the arrival of BMW's new X3 and X4 vehicles in the country, these cars were constructed.
Only 40 units will be built, 30 of which will be X3 M40d M Sport Edition vehicles and the other 10 will be X4-based variants. Both come equipped with the same set of unique features. The BMW Individual Frozen Deep Gray Matte Black paint job on both vehicles is instantly noticeable.
The SUVs also come with 20-inch M alloy wheels in Jet Black, which are paired with red M-Sport brake calipers. BMW has also added M carbon fiber wing mirror caps, expanded BMW Individual Shadow Line trim, and blacked-out kidney grilles to the pair.
Carbon fiber trim and Verneska black leather trim have been added to the cabin of the BMW X3 M40d M Sport Edition variant. The X4's interior features a mix of BMW Individual Fiona Red and Black merino leather, which makes it considerably more stunning.
The X3 model starts at 9,980,000 yen ($87,080) in Japan. Meanwhile, the X4 M40i M Sport Edition starts at 10,225,000 yen ($89,835) but only 2 of the 10 units manufactured are available. The X3 will begin shipments this month, with the X4 following in January 2022.
